I Need A Second Job

Have you ever been broke the day after payday? That has got to be one of the worst feelings in the world. One minute there's this elated feeling of, "Yay! All the bills are paid!" and the next minute it's, "Oh man. I am so broke." I think most normal people know what I'm talking about. Now those of you who are independently wealthy, I guess you can ignore this post. It will not have meaning for you. And gee, I really hate that. But back to my normal readers...

Yes, I work for the great State of Texas. That means I get paid once a month. So one day a month, I have funds and the other 29-30, I can only wish I did. Don't get me wrong, I love my job and am very grateful to have a good paying job. I only wish I had a money tree that bore "fruit" every other month or so.

Since the money tree idea is probably not going to come about, here's what I think I'll do to overcome this dreadful feeling that occurs when my pockets are empty and I don't have money to count. I'll count my blessings.

Thank you God for a wonderful family; my mother, my brother & sisters, my nieces and nephews and my precious great-nieces and great-nephews. Thank you God for blessing me with three beautiful children who each have unique gifts and talents to use for you. Thank you for sending me the perfect man for me (you may have overdone it on the "conservative with money" part but that's ok). He has a good job and gets up every day to go to it. And thank you for giving me health and the "smarts" that help me to do my job to the best of my ability.

Ok, I  can't leave this group out. Thank you God for my friends. I bet you thought I was going to say cats, didn't you? All joking aside, I love my friends, both old and new, and can't imagine life without them.

See, I feel better all ready. I'm not broke at all.

That's a great post! Count your blessings is something we should ALL do more often!

You didn't mention cousins in that blessing list ;)
